What can I carry on the airplane?
Currently, the TSA is allowing one carry-on bag and one personal item, such as a purse or laptop, to be carried on board an aircraft. Be sure to look for items that might be considered dangerous and confiscated at the security screening. Many items such as scissors, cutting utensils, etc. cannot be taken as carryon but can be safely carried in your checked baggage. For a complete list of items that can and cannot be carried in carry-on luggage, check out the "Security Tips for Air Travelers" at www.tsatraveltips.us. If you have questions or doubts about specific items, check with your airline before coming to the airport.

Do I need two forms of ID to travel?
For domestic travel, one government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, is sufficient.

Can I pull my car in front of the terminal and wait for my passenger?
People may still pull up in front of the terminal to drop off or pick up passengers, but the vehicle cannot be left unattended. If it is unattended, it will be ticketed and towed. If you should need special assistance with a passenger, enlist the services of a skycap, who will accompany your guest to the ticket counter while you park the car. If a skycap is not immediately available, seek out a police officer and explain your situation. Police officers are stationed on both the arrival and departure levels. Remember, police officers are not psychic. If a car is unattended, they do not know to whom it belongs.

What if I need special assistance or have a child that is flying alone?
The airlines will allow a parent or caregiver to accompany a child or person who needs physical assistance to the gate. But that person will be required to check in at the ticket counter and obtain a pass. A person without a pass will not be allowed to pass through the checkpoint.

What time should I get to the airport?
Most of the airlines at Will Rogers World Airport recommend arriving at the airport one and a half hours prior to the departure time. It is important to verify pre-arrival times with your airline. Also times may vary at different airports.

Can I park at the airport?
Yes. All of the parking lots at Will Rogers are open. Hourly parking is for people who will only be in the terminal a short time. It is $1/hour or $24/day, but the first hour is FREE. Long term lots include: the five-level parking garage, $5/day, $25/week, semi-covered shuttle parking, $5/day, $25/week and surface shuttle parking $4/day, $20/wk.

If I can't go to the gate, where do I wait for my guest?
Those seeing people off or picking up guests must wait in the area just before the security checkpoint. There is a sign that designates how far you can go. Because of the way Will Rogers airport is set up, all people exiting the concourses must exit the same way. So you won't miss your passenger.

Do I need a boarding pass to get through the security checkpoint?
Yes. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is now requiring that all passengers have a boarding pass and a photo ID to pass through the security checkpoint. Passengers will need to check in at the ticket counter or at one of the automated kiosks located at or near the ticket counters. Some airlines do issue boarding passes via the internet.
