OKC Will Rogers International Airport announced today that American Airlines will offer nonstop service to Cancun, Mexico, beginning Nov. 8, 2025.
“To finally welcome a nonstop international flight to Oklahoma City for the first time in a generation is a historic moment for us,” Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt said. “This milestone is a testament to our city’s renaissance, as well as a reflection of our willingness to invest in ourselves. This would not have been possible without the vision of our airport leadership to construct the necessary facilities and their persistence in marketing this opportunity to the carriers. Our gratitude to them, as well as American Airlines.”
Service to Cancun will be every Saturday from Nov. 8, 2025, through April 4, 2026.
“We are excited American Airlines will be offering international flights to Cancun this winter,” Airports Director Jeff Mulder said. “American Airlines is a great partner, and we appreciate their support of OKC and our community. We are nearing completion of our customs facility, which will allow this new international service to become a reality. This type of new international nonstop service elevates OKC to a new level and offers our travelers another quality-of-life improvement.”
American Airlines is adding this new service for leisure travelers who like to vacation by the beach during the holidays and winter months.
“American is proud to announce international service from Oklahoma City International Airport,” American’s Director of International Network Planning Philippe Puech said. “With service to customer-favorite Cancun, Mexico, joining nonstop flights to eight destinations across the United States, American offers a comprehensive network that can take Oklahomans anywhere they wish to travel.”
