WRWA Hourly Parking Is Now Operating in Temporary Location
Existing Hourly Parking Rates Apply To Temporary Location
OKLAHOMA CITY, July 24, 2018 – Hourly parking at WRWA has been relocated to a ground-floor section of the five-story garage. The move is temporary and will facilitate repairs and maintenance to the two-story garage. Regular hourly parking rates still apply in this location. Those rates are $1 per hour or $24 per day. All other levels of the five-story garage are at the regular daily rate of $9 per day. Parkers flying out and who park in the hourly location will be charged $24 per day.
Numerous signs directing people to the temporary location have been installed. As drivers approach the terminal they will see large yellow overhead roadway signs. Additional signage has been placed at the entrance including multiple signs stating the rate.
Customers will access the terminal via the climate-controlled pedestrian tunnel, entering and exiting at Elevator Station 5. There will be no access to the airport terminal from the ground level.
Visitors may also utilize the cell phone waiting lot where persons remain in their car until their passengers call from the curbside. The lot is located on SW 67th St., directly across from the Air Traffic Control Tower. Everyone is reminded that the terminal curbside is for active loading and unloading only. Parking, waiting and unattended vehicles are prohibited and subject to ticketing.
The construction project will address water intrusion issues on the lower level of Garage A which is planned for future premium parking. Work will include replacement of the waterproofing membrane on the upper deck and replacement of all expansion joints. The project is anticipated to last through the end of the year.
