TSA PreCheck Enrollment Event Opens Monday At WRWA
OKLAHOMA CITY, September 14, 2018 – Beginning this Monday travelers will be able to apply for the Transportation Security Administration’s TSA Pre✓® program at the Will Rogers World Airport (WRWA) terminal. The event will run from Monday, September 17 through Friday, September 21. The airport, in partnership with TSA, is hosting the enrollment event to facilitate participation in the agency’s popular expedited screening program.
The temporary enrollment center will be in the baggage claim area across from carousel five. Applicants do not need an airline ticket to access the application center. Hours of operation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, and from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and noon until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
TSA Pre✓® is an expedited screening program that enables identified low-risk air travelers to enjoy a smart and more efficient screening experience. For TSA Pre✓® travelers, there is no need to remove shoes, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, light outerwear or belts. Today, TSA Pre✓® lanes are available to passengers flying 53 airlines at more than 200 airports, including Will Rogers World Airport.
Applicants should begin the process online at tsa.gov and then schedule an appointment at the WRWA temporary enrollment center. At the appointment, applicants will provide fingerprints, payment and valid identity and citizenship/immigration documentation. Those wishing to participate must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents. The application fee is $85 for a five-year membership and can be paid by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier's check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.
When applying online, applicants should type in the location “Oklahoma City, OK,” then choose “Oklahoma City, OK – Will Rogers World Airport.” When the applicant clicks “Next” at the bottom of the screen, they will be able to select a preferred appointment time. Walk-ins are accepted on a space-available basis.
Successful applicants will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN), usually within a couple of weeks. The enrollee will then enter that number when booking their airline reservations. The KTN can also be added when booking reservations online via a participating airline website, via phone call to the airline reservation center, or with the travel management company making reservations. Additionally, the KTN can be entered in participating airline frequent flyer profiles, where it will be stored for future reservations.
